Program Outline

The term “photobiomodulation can be broken down into three components, each of which reflects a key aspect of the process:

• Photo and bio from ancient Greek words “phos” referring to light and bios meaning  “life”, and

• Modulation from the Latin word “modulatio” meaning "measured or regulated change”.  

• Thus, photobiomodulation (PBM), makes use of light as the triggering energy source that initiates biological effects and modifies biological function.
